Light-duty cantilever for manual handling
The same principle as heavy-duty cantilever (no front uprights, long products accessed from the side) sized for lighter loads
and for manual handling or standard forklifts. Designed for small and medium-sized enterprises working with sheet metal, pipes, timber, and profiles.
We have been designing and manufacturing single-sided and double-sided light-duty cantilever racking in our facilities in Mornico al Serio (Bergamo) since 1975.

When light-duty cantilever is the right choice
Light-duty cantilever is not just “a cheaper cantilever.” It is the right version when products are long but not extremely heavy and you handle them by hand or with a standard forklift, without the need for side-loaders or cranes.
If, however, loads are high or side-loader forklifts are required, the right structure is heavy-duty cantilever: we will advise you during the site survey.
Designed for SMEs, with the advantages of a bolted system
MCT light-duty cantilever was created as a practical alternative for small and medium-sized enterprises handling long and bulky products.
It follows the same logic as the heavy-duty version but is calibrated for lighter loads and handling, with a focus on reducing transport and assembly costs.
One light-duty cantilever, multiple ways to configure it.
We start with how you handle goods and how much space you have: from there, we decide on sides, arm heights, and bay lengths.
Single-sided
Arms on one side only, against a wall or with a single aisle. Ideal for workshops and laboratories with limited space.
Double-sided
Arms on both sides, in an island configuration with aisles on two sides. Maximum capacity within the same footprint.
For manual handling
Low heights, arms accessible from the ground. The typical setup for SMEs, sheet metal, pipe, and timber merchants.
For protected outdoor use
Galvanized version for outdoor storage or under a canopy, where weather resistance is required.
From site survey to final testing, without intermediaries
We manufacture the light-duty cantilever structure ourselves, and our technicians handle the assembly. The bolted system makes installation quick even in confined spaces.
What we achieve is a short supply chain: a single point of contact, changes managed in real time, and clear responsibility at every stage.
Compliance and safety of light-duty cantilever
Even a light-duty cantilever is a rack in use: UNI EN 15629 and UNI EN 15635 standards require periodic inspections by qualified personnel, and the responsibility lies with the employer. We design according to current standards and, where required, with NTC seismic criteria.

Frequently asked questions about light-duty cantilever
A light-duty cantilever is a cantilever racking system sized for light loads and manual handling. Like heavy-duty cantilever systems, it has no front uprights, allowing for the storage and retrieval of long products (pipes, sheets, lumber, profiles) from the side, but in sizes and weights suitable for SMEs.
Light-duty cantilever is designed for manual handling or standard forklifts and lighter products; standard cantilever supports much higher loads and requires side-loader forklifts or stacker cranes. The choice depends on the unit weight of the products and how you handle them.
Yes, the light-duty cantilever is suitable for outdoor use in its galvanized or outdoor-rated painted versions. The bolted structure facilitates installation even on outdoor flooring.
Yes, it is possible to expand or reconfigure the light-duty cantilever by adding bays to the existing module, transitioning from single-sided to double-sided through bolting. This is one of the advantages compared to welded structures.
The cost of a light-duty cantilever depends on length, number of bays, height, and finish; there is no one-size-fits-all price list. During an on-site inspection, we assess your space and load requirements and provide you with a quote including precise dimensions and pricing.
Light-duty cantilever racking allows you to store long, bulky products of limited weight: sheet metal, pipes, beams, lumber, and profiles. An on-site inspection is all that is needed to determine if your materials require light-duty or heavy-duty solutions.
