How to choose the right metal structure.
When you need to cover, connect, or expand a space, the point isn’t the size: it’s the load the structure must support and the environment where it will be located. A canopy in a mountain area supports feet of snow; a shed must be calculated for snow, wind, and seismic activity (where required). The same “iron structure” can result in four different designs.
The choice depends on what you need to do, not on a catalog:

covering – canopies and shelters for outdoor storage, loading/unloading, and parking lots;
enclosing – light, expandable sheds, an alternative to precast concrete;
connecting and climbing – code-compliant safety stairs;
and the environment it will be in – permanent outdoor or indoor, which determines the treatment.
We start with a site inspection, size based on real loads (NTC), and tell you what is truly needed, even when less than you thought is sufficient. Then we design, manufacture, and install, building permits included.
Why choose MCT metal structures.
Light steelwork, designed and calculated in-house in Bergamo since 1975. A metal structure that stands outdoors and withstands snow and wind cannot be improvised: it must be calculated and treated correctly. We design it in our internal technical office, manufacture it in our 10,000 sqm facility in Mornico al Serio, and our technicians install it. You have a single point of contact: for the design, for the municipality, and for the years to follow.

Compliance and building permits for metal structures.
Metal structures require building permits depending on the type: SCIA or a building permit. Technical documentation for the applications is included in the project, not a surprise cost. Sizing follows NTC standards for snow and wind loads; for particularly exposed or seismic areas, we perform specific calculations.
