Pallet Racking Systems

Custom pallet racking systems for high-turnover warehouses

When your warehouse has high turnover and diverse references, selective pallet racking is the structure that provides direct access to every single pallet without moving others to reach one.

We design and manufacture “R” series selective pallet racks in our facilities in Mornico al Serio (Bergamo) since 1975. Up to 13.5 meters high, dimensioned for your specific pallet and forklift.

When Pallet Racking is the Right Choice

Pallet racking is not “just the most common shelving.” It’s the right structure when you need to access every pallet at any time, without moving others: high turnover, many different references, frequent picking. If, however, you have few references and many identical pallets, the density of a drive-in or an automated system yields more. We tell you this upfront, not later.

If you recognize yourself in one of these situations, you most likely need selective pallet racking.

Do you have few references and seek maximum density?

“R” Series Selective Pallet Racks: Direct Access to Every Pallet

The “R” series is designed to be flexible: the same structure can be accessorized and reconfigured as goods change.

We don’t sell you a standard shelf to be filled haphazardly: we dimension bays, beams, and heights based on the pallets you actually handle and the forklift you have.

Every pallet is directly accessible, without moving others. This advantage makes pallet racking the standard for warehouses with many references and high turnover: maximum retrieval speed, no pallet “buried” behind another.
Roller conveyors for picking, gravity flow racks, pallet stops, mesh shelves, base impact protection. And it can be combined with cantilever racking to manage long and palletized goods in the same system.
Beams and frames are calculated based on the actual weight of the unit load and the height of the warehouse. For non-standard capacities and dimensions, our technical office provides a free calculation before the quote.

Special Solutions: Beyond Any Standard

Systems designed to optimize flows and multiply available space: up to 90% more volume.

One pallet racking system, multiple configuration options.

The configuration doesn’t start with the shelf: it starts with how you move through the aisles, how many pallets per reference you manage, and how high you want to go. From there, we decide on depth, accessories, and integrations.

Single-Deep Selective

One pallet per position, total direct access. The standard for warehouses with many references and high turnover.

Double-Deep

Two pallets deep with a telescopic fork forklift. More density while maintaining good selectivity, when you have multiple pallets per reference.

With Roller Conveyors for Picking

Roller beds and gravity flow racks to integrate order preparation with storage, without a separate picking area.

Combined with Cantilever

Mixed structure for those who store both pallets and long goods (pipes, profiles, sheets) in the same warehouse.

With Impact Protection

Frame and base protectors, leg guards, and anti-fall nets, where forklifts frequently pass or heavy loads are handled.

Integrated with Mezzanine or Walkways

Pallet racking served by a mezzanine or multi-level picking walkways, to utilize height even for order preparation.

From site survey to final testing, without intermediaries

When we install a pallet racking system, we don’t use third-party contractors. Our technical office conducts the on-site inspection, we produce the structure in our 10,000 sq m facility in Mornico, and our technicians oversee the assembly.

What we achieve is a short supply chain: a single point of contact, changes managed in real time, and clear responsibility at every stage.

Free On-Site Inspection

We measure the space, analyze your movements, and understand what you are storing.

Technical Design

Warehouse layout + structural dimensioning + detailed quote.

Custom Production

Cutting, welding, and painting at our facilities in Bergamo.

Assembly and Testing

Installation with in-house teams. Technical documentation provided upon testing.

Compliance and Safety of Pallet Racking Systems

A pallet racking system’s lifecycle does not end with commissioning: UNI EN 15629 and UNI EN 15635 standards require periodic inspections (typically every 12 months) by qualified personnel. If you are an employer, you are responsible for the racking systems in use.

We design structures in compliance with current regulations, and for areas with significant seismicity, we dimension them according to the Technical Standards for Construction.

We perform inspections and adjustments on MCT structures and racking systems from other brands. The technical report can be used as safety documentation within the company.

Frequently Asked Questions about Pallet Racking Systems

What is Pallet Racking?2026-10-06T15:42:02+01:00

A pallet racking system is a metal structure composed of vertical uprights and horizontal beams on which pallets are placed. In the selective version (the most common), each pallet is directly accessible without having to move others. It is the standard for industrial and logistics warehouses with a high number of SKUs.

What is pallet racking for, and when is it the right choice?2026-10-06T15:41:57+01:00

Pallet racking is essential when you need frequent access to diverse pallets: high turnover, a mix of SKUs, and frequent picking. It is the best choice when the speed of retrieving an individual pallet is more important than pure storage density. If, however, you have few SKUs and a large number of identical pallets, consider a drive-in rack or an Autosat system: they accommodate more pallets within the same surface area.

What is the maximum height of a pallet racking system?2026-10-06T15:41:52+01:00

Up to 13.5 meters of usable height, dimensioned according to the warehouse height and available forklift. Beyond this threshold, it is advisable to consider automatic systems such as stacker cranes or Autosat.

How Much Does Pallet Racking Cost?2026-10-06T15:41:48+01:00

The price of a pallet rack depends on height, number of bays, load capacity per level, and accessories (roller conveyors, guards, drop-down gates): there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ price list. The quickest way to get an accurate price is a free on-site survey: we assess your space and load requirements and send you a proposal with a defined layout and dimensions.

Can picking be added to an existing pallet racking system?2026-10-06T15:41:43+01:00

Yes, it is possible to add picking to an existing pallet racking system by integrating roller conveyors, tilt trays, or picking platforms into the structure. If the pallet racking is already compliant with standards, it can often be accessorized without being rebuilt. We verify this during an on-site inspection.

Are Pallet Racks Seismic-Resistant?2026-10-06T15:41:37+01:00

Upon request, we engineer pallet racking according to the seismic criteria of the Technical Building Standards. For areas with significant seismic activity, this is mandatory, not an option: we assess it during the design phase.

Let’s start with a site inspection. It’s free.
