MRX Shelving

MRX modular metal shelving: interlocking assembly, no screws or bolts.

Just three elements (upright, crossbar, shelf) that can be assembled, disassembled, and reconfigured in an afternoon with a rubber mallet. No screws, no bolts, no specialized tools. The modular metal shelving for warehouses, archives, laboratories, stores, and offices.

Produced in our facilities in Mornico al Serio (Bergamo) from cold-formed steel strip, available in sendzimir galvanized or painted versions.

When MRX Modular Shelving is the Right Choice

The MRX is not “a robust version of DIY shelving.” It is an industrial modular system: the same structure adapts to different loads, environments, and layouts, and can be modified to meet changing needs without replacement.

It performs best where order, accessibility, and flexibility are needed for medium-light loads distributed on shelves.

Do you need to create a walkable surface or a mezzanine above the MRX?

A three-element interlocking system, infinitely modular

The strength of the MRX lies in its modularity: the upright, crossbar, and shelf interlock, allowing the structure to grow, shrink, or be reconfigured at any time.

It is this flexibility (not a single shelf) that makes it suitable for changing environments.

Every component is made from cold-formed steel strip on automated lines. Assembly is quick and interlocking: it’s set up with a rubber mallet and can be modified without specialized tools.

Sendzimir galvanized for humid or protected outdoor environments, durable over time even when exposed to atmospheric agents. Powder-coated for interiors and contexts where aesthetics also matter.

With MCT grating, the MRX creates complex structures, up to a double mezzanine: the shelves become walkable surfaces and walkways, utilizing available height.

MRX modular shelving configurations.

We start with the loads, the environment, and the available height: from there, we define the version, shelf spacing, and integrations.

Shelved for Warehouse and Archive

Classic configuration with adjustable shelves, for components, boxes, and documentation.

Sendzimir Galvanized for Humid Environments

For humid storage, protected outdoor areas, and contexts requiring corrosion resistance.

With Grating for Mezzanine/Walkway

Two-level structure with a grating walkway, to utilize the room’s height.

For Stores and Laboratories

Painted version with refined aesthetics, for back-of-house, laboratories, and technical offices.

From site survey to final testing, without intermediaries

The interlocking system makes the MRX extremely fast to assemble: for standard configurations, it can be set up independently; for complex projects (mezzanines, articulated environments), our assembly service supervises the site.

What we achieve is a short supply chain: a single point of contact, changes managed in real time, and clear responsibility at every stage.

Compliance and Safety of MRX Shelving

Even existing shelving systems are subject to periodic inspection requirements under UNI EN 15635 standards, and the employer is responsible. MRX structures are designed for safe and durable use; for complex installations (mezzanines with grating), the sizing criteria for load-bearing structures apply.

We perform inspections and adjustments on MCT structures and shelving from other brands. The technical report can be used as safety documentation within the company.

Frequently Asked Questions about MRX Modular Shelving

What Are MRX Modular Shelving Systems?2026-10-06T13:38:06+01:00

MRX modular shelving systems are metal shelving units with shelves based on an interlocking system of three elements — upright, crossbar, and shelf — made from cold-rolled steel strip. “Modular” means the structure can be freely assembled, disassembled, and reconfigured, without screws or bolts.

How are MRX modular shelving units assembled?2026-10-06T13:37:56+01:00

MRX modular shelving units feature a boltless interlocking system, requiring only a rubber mallet and no specialized tools: the components simply snap together. This ensures rapid assembly and makes subsequent modifications just as easy.

What is the difference between Sendzimir galvanized and painted shelving?2026-10-06T15:37:20+01:00

Sendzimir galvanized shelving resists humidity and atmospheric agents, making it suitable for humid environments or protected outdoor areas. Powder-coated shelving is designed for interiors and contexts where aesthetics are also important (e.g., shops, offices, laboratories).

What is the maximum shelf capacity for MRX shelving?2026-10-06T15:37:24+01:00

The maximum shelf capacity for MRX modular shelving depends on the configuration. Custom-made versions achieve high loads; the exact value is calculated by our technical department and is included in the site survey.

Can a mezzanine be created with MRX?2026-10-06T15:37:29+01:00

Yes, by combining MRX shelving with MCT grating, mezzanine and multi-tier systems are created, converting the shelves into walking surfaces. This is one of the most common applications when maximizing vertical space.

Can I use MRX shelving in a humid environment?2026-10-06T15:37:47+01:00

Yes, in the Sendzimir galvanized version, designed to resist humidity and last over time even in harsh conditions.
